**Online contest on October 27th is only available to girls attending school outside of the three counties- Orange, Seminole, and Osceola. In-person component is crucial for building a local community of girls in mathematics.

Schedule

6:00pm – 6:15pm Opening Remarks

6:15pm – 7:00pm – Individual Round (45 minutes)

7:00pm – 7:10pm – Short break

7:15pm – Start of Team Round

7:15pm – 7:45pm – Team Round (30 mins)

7:45pm – 8:00pm – Guest Speaker: Dr. Jami Valentine, the first Black woman to graduate with a PhD in physics from Johns Hopkins University

8:00pm – 8:30pm – Awards and Closing Remarks

Title 1 school get 50% discount on registration fees. Reduced fee for families with financial hardship. Have to fill the scholarship form here to request reduced fee.

Registration Fees:

    • Non-member Registration ($30)
    • Non-member Registration and Donation to support a student in need ($60)
    • Existing Members ($0)
    • Existing Members and Donation to support a student in need (Any amount is greatly appreciated – $10, $15, $20, $25) 
    • 8 weekly review classes the on Thursdays at 6:30, starting from Sep 5th to Oct 31st.

Volunteering opportunities

Students in 7th–12th grade can help run the program. They can get involved by volunteering, and they will be trained to become facilitators for problem solving and games for the program. Volunteer hours will be provided.
